Shrimp boats and Shorebirds +++(wading birds, birds of prey, dolphin)
During my seasonal tours we spend anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour following the boats. I keep the boat beside the nets opening. And when the dolphins breach for air, they surface right beside the boat.
Winter Outings / Nesting Eagles and wintering Seabirds + Dolphin activity
Filled with photo opportunities from the nesting Bald Eagles to all the wintering seabirds from waterfowl to seabirds like the Horned Grebe and the Common Loon and, of course the Bottlenose Dolphin
Morgan Island/ includes: Rhesus Monkeys, shore and wading birds + Dolphin
Morgan Island is home to 350+ Rhesus Monkeys visible from a boat
Seabird Nesting / May 15 thru July
These tours happen at three separate locations The Charleston Harbor (Crab bank & Castle Pinckney), Deveaux Bank (at the mouth of the Edisto River) and Tomkins Island off Turtle Island between Daufuski and Tybee Island.
Spring Shorebird Migrations / April - May 15th
April begins the spring shorebird migrations which last through May. On my tours we will focus on these thousands of birds in flight and feeding in the salt marshes.
Dolphin Backwater behavior Tours July thru September
As their food sources move around the sea and inland waterways, the dolphins are there. In late summer, early fall we find them up in the small creeks feeding on small schooling bait fish and other times in the inlets or open ocean.
Fall Shorebirds & Shrimp boats / Sept & October
During my fall tours we spend anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour following the boats. I keep the skiff beside the nets opening. Doing so allows us great photo opportunities as the dolphins breach for air, right beside us.
