Winter Outings / Nesting Eagles and wintering Seabirds + Dolphin activity

When preparing for our winter tour, please dress as you would for a day on the ski slopes. I recommend wearing warm layers that can be easily removed if the temperature rises, along with a hat, gloves, and a neck or face covering, if needed.

Please note that we will only venture out if the temperature reaches at least 50 degrees; otherwise, the outing will be postponed or canceled. Our goal is to focus on the experience rather than the cold.

If conditions allow us to go, it should be a beautiful day with many photo opportunities, including nesting Bald Eagles, wintering seabirds such as waterfowl, Horned Grebes, Common Loons, and Bottlenose Dolphins.
