The Merritt Island tours are focused around the Haul over canal and the closeby wading bird rookery. The amount of food that passes through the canal is phenomenal and also is the magnet for the birds and other wildlife. This is often nonstop photo ops with the Osprey and Kingfisher hitting the water and the wading birds fishing the banks, the life around the rookery and the shorebirds working the edges.
