December Birding tours + Shrimp boats & Dolphins
1/ The Shrimpers are out trawling until the end of December and whenever conditions allow we are close by capturing the action, including seeing the dolphin going in the nets and resurfacing for air as the seabirds are diving on shrimp behind in a feeding frenzy .
2/ The migrating shorebirds that stopover in the lowcountry have done so. The birds here for the winter include the Brown pelican, Black Skimmer, Oyster Catcher and some Sanderling, Dunlin, Dowitcher, Willet and others. They all keep us busy with continual bird behavior opportunities from feeding, jousting and resting portraits to syncopated flight patterns (murmuration
